
The 2025 pilot initiative, NAVYA Scheme (Nurturing Aspirations through Vocational Training for Young Adolescent Girls), of the Government of India aims to empower young adolescent girls in aspirational and tribal districts between 16–18 years. It is implemented in partnership between the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and the Ministry of Women & Child Development and will impart training in AI, digital marketing, drone assembly, solar technology, and other emerging fields, besides providing them with various essential life skills such as financial literacy, health, and digital literacy. By promoting education, gender equality, decent work, and reduced inequalities, the scheme supports India’s progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 and the vision of “Viksit Bharat@2047.
