JGSY is a significant step in India’s efforts to create jobs and infrastructure to reduce poverty and advance rural development. In order to enhance living circumstances for the rural poor, JGSY’s main objective was to build demand-driven village infrastructure, such as roads, schools, and sanitary facilities. Additionally, JGSY also aims to improve rural disadvantaged people’s lives by giving them more productive jobs. This yojana is totally carried out at gram panchayat level.
