NITI Aayog’s seven pillars of governance complement the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals 2030 and confirms India’s pledge towards socio-economic inclusive and sustainable development. These pillars: Pro-People, Pro-Activity, Participation, Empowerment, Inclusion of All, Equality and Transparency are on genuine needs of the people, and on anticipatory and responsive governance. Pro-People and Pro-Activity respond to goals on poverty, health and well being, while Participation and Empowerment promote gender equality. Inclusion of All and Equality complement the SDG vision by providing adequate and quality education, employment, and reducing inequalities. Transparency further advances responsible governance.
